Netflix fans are ‘hooked’ on Steven Spielberg’s latest UFO docuseries
Netflix appears to have scored another hit with its new four-part documentary series, which has left fans ‘hooked’.
Encounters spends each episode dissecting four high-profile mass UFO or alien sightings from around the world, interviewing witnesses, skeptics and experts and shedding light on new evidence.
Cases investigated include a sighting by more than 300 Texas residents in 2007 and 2008 in which people saw a “delta-shaped” UFO over a five-month period.

In addition to the phenomena in Texas, Encounters also covers the UFO ‘Bermuda Triangle’ in Wales, sightings of aliens in 1994 by more than 60 children at a school in Zimbabwe and sightings of bright lights over the Fukushima nuclear power plant after the 2011 nuclear disaster.

High praise: Viewers have gone crazy for the new docuseries, which has four episodes ranging from 45 to 53 minutes in length
Another fan of the show said: ‘If you’re not watching Encounters on Netflix you should,’ while someone else simply added that it’s ‘really good’.
Someone else said: ‘I’m watching Encounters on Netflix, and this show is absolutely fascinating and very well made.’
Despite the depth in which each episode, ranging in length from 45 to 53 minutes, addresses the relevant observation, it is not surprising that the series cannot resolve the ultimate question of whether we are alone.
One lifelong alien enthusiast was nonetheless impressed, saying, “I’ve been such a UFO fanatic since I was a kid.
‘I read books about alien encounters, so watching this new Netflix show on the subject (Encounters) is so fascinating to me. Will we ever know the truth??’
Someone else who watched the show took a more convincing stance on the existence of life beyond Earth and suggested that they encourage us to take care of our home planet as we fail to do so due to disasters like Fukushima .
They said, ‘Encounters on Netflix is so good. The message from aliens to us is: take care of our world. They know the earth is dying.”
‘Fascinating’: Alien fanatics praise new series, even though it can’t answer whether we’re alone in the world
