Netflix has added “one of the best movies EVER” to the streaming service with a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.

The biographical drama film Elvis, directed by Baz Luhrmann, premiered in 2022.

Elvis follows the life of the King of Rock and Roll just before his death in 1977, at the age of 42.

Carrie Diaries star Austin Butler, 33, took on the role of leading man Elvis in the film.

Nouch Three years after its release, fans can now enjoy it again via the subscription service.

Those who watched it were very impressed – and it received an incredible 94% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.

Austin was joined by some familiar faces in the cast.

The likes of Tom Hanks played Colonel Tom Parker, Olivia DeJonge played Priscilla Presley, and Helen Thomson played Gladys Presley.

They were also joined by Richard Roxburgh, Kelvin Harrison Jr, David Wenham and Jodi Smit-McPhee.

Elsewhere, Austin opened up about his experience playing the rock star and the extreme measures he took to alter his appearance to ensure he looked good.

Austin said in an interview with Term: ‘I heard that when Ryan Gosling went to do The Lovely Bones, he microwaved Häagen-Dazs and drank it.

“So I started doing that… I would go get two dozen donuts and eat them all.

“It’s fun for a week or so, and then you feel terrible about yourself.”
