‘Nervous’ Bill Maher makes desperate plea to undecided voters – and reveals why Kamala could lose the election
Bill Maher has made a plea to undecided voters as he warned the “progressive ghost virus” could keep Kamala Harris from winning.
The comedian outlined the positive impact Biden and Democrats have had on the economy, including aggressively tackling inflation.
But he conceded that voters were likely looking for more reassurance on so-called Christmas Eve. Harris will not agree with “any anti-common sense idea that comes from the woke mind virus.”
“If she loses, that will be the main reason,” Maher warned on Friday during an episode of his HBO program Real Time.
He suggested that Democrats are afraid to admit that things are “not that bad,” and that “progressophobia” is part of the progressive ghost virus and could hinder their chances.

“Remember, you should vote for Harris because of the economy,” Maher said. “But the undecided don’t get that message because Democrats can’t get the words ‘things aren’t that bad’ out of their mouths.”
‘Lest someone somewhere accuse them of not caring enough about those who are struggling.
“But even in a good economy, there will always be people struggling with money.”
He highlighted how the US could reduce inflation faster than anywhere else in the world without causing a recession – a feat he likened to “catching a Space X rocket with your butt.”
Inflation has fallen from a high of nine percent in 2022 to 2.4 percent.
The podcast host pointed out that inflation initially skyrocketed after both the Trump and Biden administrations spent $6 trillion to address the coronavirus, including sending out economic impact payments.
Maher also quoted The Economist as saying, “An economy with a four percent unemployment rate and a GDP OF $85,000 doesn’t need to be made great again, it’s great.”

He noted that the economy is relatively strong under Democrats and praised the way the Biden administration was able to curb inflation without causing a recession.
In the same report, he noted that in Mississippi, the poorest state in the US, the average person earns $85,000, which is more than in Britain, Canada and Germany.
He added that everything that should be low, such as unemployment, black unemployment, poverty and gas prices, is already low, while things like the stock market, manufacturing, real wages, spending, savings and oil production are all in sit in the elevator.
“Things aren’t that bad, but they could get a lot worse under the rule of a mad king,” Maher continued, referring to Donald Trump.
He also criticized those who asked what the president can do for them personally, saying the president is “not a ghost.”
“It’s Kamala, not Kazam,” Maher joked. ‘It’s a government, not an insurance company.
‘Do I like everything about Kamala? No. Who told you you can love anything? Do I wish she came up with a better reason to run for president than me not being Trump, yes, that would have been helpful.
“But let’s not forget: I’m not Trump, that’s still a very good reason.”
A lifelong Democrat, Maher is not afraid to openly criticize the party even as Election Day approaches.

New polls show Kamala Harris with a slight lead in the so-called ‘blue wall’ states with just four days to go, as there are fresh signs that Donald Trump could lose the support of one of the most reliable voting groups.
The Marist poll showed Harris ahead of Trump by three points in Michigan among likely voters, 51 percent to 48 percent.
