Nerve-wracking moment skateboarders perform idiotic stunt on top of Scape Swanston, Melbourne
Gruesome footage has captured the moment skateboarders fell to their deaths while performing tricks on top of a 47-storey skyscraper.
In the video posted to Reddit on Wednesday, the pair were seen skating at the top of the Scape Swanston building in Melbourne’s CBD.
“Just casually skateboarding on top of a 40-story building,” the post read.
The footage showed the daredevil duo risking their lives and the safety of innocent people on the ground.
One of the two practiced tricks, while the other filmed his buddy performing his pointless shredding.
As the video continued, there was surprisingly no sign of building security, so the two casually continued their alarming antics.
The Scape Swanston building has no safety railings, which undoubtedly contributes to the dangerous tension.
Social media users were quick to condemn the skateboarders and their dangerous antics.
‘This makes me angry. If you want to be an idiot and kill yourself, that’s fine with me,” one person wrote.
“But DO NOT risk falling off a building onto the people below and DO NOT risk a heavy object like a skateboard falling off and killing people below. These bastards need to be arrested.”

A second added: ‘Don’t think it even needs to be a heavy object at that height to kill people below. The speed of something as small as a watch would be like a bullet.”
Another commenter was concerned about innocent people at the scene.
“Imagine you’re just minding your business trying not to sit in the bird poop outside the museum and a skateboard from the sky straight up sends you skyward,” they wrote.
