Neighbours star Matt Wilson reveals he is expecting his second child with wife Jessica

Neighbours star Matt Wilson is set to be a dad again.

The Aussie actor, who played the hunky Aaron Brennan in the series, shared the exciting news to Instagram on Wednesday evening. 

‘A new addition to our retirement package. Boy or girl?’ he wrote.

The couple welcomed their first child, a little boy, last year, with them keeping the pregnancy under wraps until they announced the birth of the baby. 

The news clearly came as a shock to many of the couple’s friends and followers, with Survivor star Brooke Jowett writing, ‘Oh my god whaaaaaat????’ on Jessica’s post.  

The pair had given little indication they were expecting an addition to their family before Wednesday’s announcement.

Matt is best known for playing Aaron Brennan on Neighbours since 2015.

In 2019, he and Jessica had also surprised fans by posting pictures from the couple’s low-key wedding.

‘Forever,’ Matt captioned the post, showing the newlyweds in Hawaiian patterned outfits.

Matt featured in a landmark moment during his time on the show- the first same-sex marriage on Australian TV.

The Aaron and David characters tied the knot on the show in 2018, soon after gay marriage was legalised in Australia in 2017.

Magda Szubanski, an outspoken advocate for the gay, lesbian and transgender community, played the celebrant.

Matt is best known for playing Aaron Brennan on Neighbours since 2015. In 2019, he and Jessica surprised fans by posting pictures from the couple’s low-key wedding
