Neighbors star Madeleine West announces surprising career move following the success of her true crime podcast
Former Neighbors star Madeleine West recently launched the true crime podcast Predatory in hopes of drawing attention to child abuse.
And on Saturday, the former soap star, 44, took to Instagram to announce her surprising new career move as she continues her quest for justice.
“Proud to announce my appointment to the Advisory Board of Crime Stoppers International, specializing in stopping the exploitation of children,” she began.
She said she hoped to help victims find the courage to speak out about the abuse they experienced and raise awareness about the serious problem.
“Change is only possible with evidence to back it up. I ask anyone who has experienced this heinous crime, been stalked, assaulted, groomed or bullied to share your story anonymously,” she added.

Many of West’s famous friends were quick to congratulate her on the courageous career move.
“I’m proud to know you,” comedian Janelle Koenig wrote as Offspring star Kat Stewart posted some love heart emojis.
In January, West said she was sexually assaulted as a child by a “monster,” which is why she started a true crime podcast to raise awareness of the difficult issue.

The actress went public with her story after keeping it a secret for decades so she can help others who are suffering.
West has told how the alleged abuser lived in the same city as her and how the abuse was regular – sometimes even daily. She did not reveal other details of the attack and has not named the alleged abuser.
She said The sun of the alleged abuse: ‘This monster ruined my life. I came out on the other side, yes a survivor but happy with the victim title.
“Very proud to announce today my appointment to the Board of Advisors of Crime Stoppers International, specializing in stopping the exploitation of children,” West began.
‘Justice can be achieved. It was never and never will be your fault, it’s not your fault.’
She launched the predatory podcast to shed light on the issue of pedophilia with ex-detective Gary Jubelin.
The mother-of-six told fans her podcast will serve as a “checklist” for parents on how to spot predatory behavior towards children.
The star is also calling for a national public child sex registry in Australia and will campaign for legislative changes to compensate victims fairly.
