Neighbors Makes Modest Audience Return With Only 240,000 Fans Tuning in for the Reboot’s Premiere

The highly anticipated Neighbors reboot made a humble ratings return on Monday, with a total television audience of 244,000.

Just 122,000 fans across the five metropolitan centers watched the return of the much-loved soap on Channel 10 at 4.30pm.

A further 54,000 viewers watched the show in regional areas, bringing a total national audience of 174,000.

Meanwhile, another 68,000 fans saw the first episode on catch-up platforms including 10Play and 10Peach, which repeated the show at 6:30 p.m.

Its total TV audience of 244,000 on Monday comes after what was supposed to be the show’s finale in July last year, which attracted 1.09 million viewers.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday’s primetime, The Block beat its competitor as the most-watched entertainment program overnight.

The Channel Nine reality hit achieved a massive 644.00 rating in the metro and finished sixth in the top ten most watched shows overall.

Also on Nine, The Hundred hosted by comic Andy Lee generated a modest result for the network.

The comedy game show managed a metro audience of 332,000.

On Channel Seven Home and Away continued its good season.

The historical soap opera attracted 463,000 viewers in major centers.

The Channel Nine reality hit achieved a huge metropolitan rating of 644.00 and finished sixth among the top ten most-watched shows in Tuesday’s overall TV ratings.

Meanwhile, Channel 10 had just one performer performing overnight, with comedy show The Cheap Seats, which attracted 306,000 viewers across the five national centres.

Seven won the night by capturing 31.6 per cent of the available audience, while Nine finished second with 28.4 per cent.

The ABC comes in third place overall with 17.2% audience. Channel 10 came fourth with 14.7 percent.

Channel Seven’s Home and Away continued its strong season on Tuesday night, with the long-running soap attracting 463,000 viewers in major centres.
