EXCLUSIVE: Neighbors know nothing about Amazon’s upcoming reboot as it’s revealed several key players have yet to receive a phone call inviting them back
Neighbors will be revived this year on Amazon’s Freevee just a few months after its cancellation.
But it appears that the producers are in no rush to get the show off the ground, with a start date yet to be announced by production.
Daily Mail Australia understands that cast members Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl Kennedy) and Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy) know nothing about the series and have not yet been told when filming will start.

A well-placed production source has let slip that the key cast is still unsure about their roles, how they will fit into the upcoming story, and their future on the show.
The cast and crew have yet to receive an update on what’s going on with the show. We’ve all been left in the dark,’ the source said.

According to the source, both the cast and crew were told it would be “starting in early 2023,” but no date has been announced yet.

The original series was canceled in March 2022, only to be confirmed for a November revival.
Amazon has yet to reveal who will join Dennis, Fletcher, and Woodburne in the reboot.

In a mid-November press release, Fremantle Australia CEO Greg Woods said the writers would start plotting new stories immediately.
