Neighbours actress Holly Valance makes shock political move – after she became a breakout conservative star for slamming Australia as ‘too woke’ and ridiculing Greta Thunberg
Former Neighbors star Holly Valance has taken her next big political step: hosting a lavish fundraiser for Donald Trump, raising $2 million (AUD3 million) for the Republican presidential candidate’s 2024 campaign for the White House.
The Australian actress, 41, has reinvented herself as a conservative firebrand, recently labeling Greta Thunberg a “demonic little gremlin” and claiming in a TV interview that Australia has become “too woke”.
Valance and her husband, billionaire real estate mogul Nick Candy, hosted Donald Trump Jr., his Fox News host Kimberley Guilfoyle, Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage and about 100 guests at their residence in Chelsea, London, on Wednesday.
“It’s a Holly party – you can guarantee it’s going to be loads of fun,” Farage said upon arriving at the event, where tickets cost between $10,000 and $100,000 ($15,000 to $150,000).

British press reports noted that Valance’s fundraiser appeared to be in silent competition with a rival fundraiser in the city for the Biden campaign organized by Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Guests were given just an hour’s notice of the location before the doors opened tonight.
The former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was pictured with guests near the home as he left after sunset.
A local woman was heard heckling “vote for Biden!” from a nearby roof.
As many as 100 guests were expected, including a number of American Republicans – some of whom were part of Trump’s White House between 2017 and 2021.
The fundraiser invites a variety of categories under which guests can make donations, such as “host committee” ($100,000 per couple) and dinner ($50,000). Just attending costs $10,000, while a photo opportunity costs $25,000.
Republican Overseas Chairman Greg Swenson told the BBC he would be “surprised” if Trump Sr. did not appear virtually.
The location was near the Chelsea Embankment and a man in a suit and umbrella welcomed guests at the door.
The property’s website described the location as a “center for entertainment and relaxation, including a wine cellar, swimming pool, spa and IMAX cinema.”

Valance and her husband have been publicly associated with Trump and Farage since at least April 2022, when the now reform leader shared a photo of the group after dining at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.
The Australian star made waves in March when she criticized climate activist Thunberg, telling podcast host Christopher Hope: “I don’t understand why you have this demonic little gremlin, high priestess of climatism, as the goddess in the classrooms, Greta [Thunberg].
“All the kids all come home with depression and anxiety,” she said.
“Why would you go to your music class, do your homework, or get out of bed if you think we’ll all be dead in five years anyway?”
The mother of two also stated that she has no plans to move back to her Australian homeland, lamenting that the country is “waking up.”
‘The Australia I grew up in was surreal. It was so much fun and we didn’t seem to have all these problems… the woke thing has really become big in Australia,” she said.
Holly elaborated on the ‘woke culture’, pointing to ‘the things they learn in school’: ‘I don’t think sexuality and children should be in the same sentence.
“I don’t think anyone’s sexuality is anyone’s business. You don’t know anything about mine. I don’t know about you. Why should we?’
Valance, married to billionaire property developer Nick Candy, was born in Australia but has British citizenship through her British mother. She lives in London and the Cotswolds.
