More than 75 NEET-UG candidates from each centre in Sikar, Rajasthan have secured scores of over 600 marks, with a few centres scoring as high as 150 marks.
An analysis of the results by centre for admission to the medical sector shows that the average of candidates scoring above 600 in Sikar is much higher than the national average.
For example, out of 942 candidates at one school in Aravali Public School, over 90 scored above 600 and seven above 700.
Also at the Mody Institute of Technology, more than 110 candidates scored above 600.
The number was above 75 at Vishwa Bharti PG College centre and the same was true for Tagore PG College.
The number of students scoring above 600 at Aryan PG College centre is 90, at Sunrise International School 85, at BPS Convent School 94, at Gurukul International School 132 and at Shri Mangal Chand Diwaniya Vidya Centre 115.
More than 27,000 candidates visited the examination centres in Sikar, of which over 4,200 scored above 600.
A total of 30,204 students scored 650 or above, 1.3 percent of the 23.22 lakh candidates across the country. These candidates would be in the top 30,000 and have a chance of getting a seat in government medical colleges. Of this group, examinees from Sikar alone have a chance of claiming 2,037 seats.
At two other centres in Sikar, 150 candidates and 83 candidates scored more than 600.
The results, which were initially announced on June 5, have been published in this form following an order from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is currently hearing several petitions alleging irregularities in the conduct of the exam, including leaking of papers.
The exam was held on May 5 in 4,750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 cities abroad, for more than 2.4 million candidates.
The court had ordered that the results be announced without revealing the identities of the candidates, as it sought to establish whether candidates who allegedly went to unreliable centres had scored more than those who took the exam elsewhere.
The Supreme Court will resume hearing oral arguments on July 22 on a series of requests seeking cancellation, a new exam and a court-supervised investigation into allegations of malpractice at the prestigious exam.
Candidates at Rajkot centre scored more than 600 marks, of which one scored a perfect 720
Over 240 NEET-UG candidates who appeared for the medical entrance test at a centre in Rajkot, Gujarat, secured a score of over 600 marks. Eleven of them secured a score of 700 or above and one secured a perfect score of 720.
The figures are based on an analysis of results per centre published on Saturday by the National Testing Agency, which has been under scrutiny for alleged irregularities in the implementation of the exam, including a paper leak.
Of the candidates who appeared for the NEET-UG at the School of Engineering, RK University test centre in Rajkot, 12 scored 700 or above. One scored 720, two scored 710, four scored 705, one scored 704, one scored 701 and three scored 700.
More than 240 candidates who took the exam at the center scored more than 600 points. Of them, 148 candidates’ scores were above 650 but below 700.
Gujarat, Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Haryana are among the states where the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested people, including students, parents and members of ‘paper solver’ gangs, in connection with the alleged leaking of the May 5 NEET-UG exam question papers.
In Sikar in Rajasthan, more than 150 candidates from one centre scored above 600 marks but below 700. The score of 83 from another centre in Sikar was also above 600 but below 700.
Forty-five candidates from Model School centre in Haryana’ Rohtak scored over 600 marks, while of those who took NEET-UG at SDSN Mahavidyalaya centre in Lucknow, over 45 scored above 600 marks. The scores of these students at these centres were below 700 marks.
Moreover, no NEET-UG candidate has scored above 682 in the revised results for the Hardayal Public School centre in Jhajjar, Haryana. The centre was scanned after six candidates who appeared for the medical entrance exam there on May 5 scored 720 out of 720.
The scores were revised after the Supreme Court ordered a retest following allegations of inflated grades due to the granting of pardons.
According to the results per center, only 13 candidates from the center managed to score more than 600 points.

The Supreme Court had ordered that the results be declared while the identities of the candidates were masked. It had said it wanted to investigate whether candidates who allegedly visited infected centres scored more marks than those who took the exam elsewhere.
The court will resume hearing arguments in the case on July 22. Motions have been filed for cancellation, a new exam and a court-supervised investigation into allegations of malpractice at the prestigious exam.
