Los Angeles Clippers swingman Amir Coffey has been arrested for possession of a concealed firearm after a routine traffic stop at the busy Hollywood intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

The 26-year-old Minnesota resident was a passenger in a car that was pulled over in Hollywood around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, DailyMail.com has confirmed. Los Angeles County jail records show that Coffey was booked around 5 a.m. and later released on his own authority.

Another passenger was caught with marijuana in a moving vehicle, according to police records provided to DailyMail.com.

“We are aware of a legal situation involving Amir Coffey and are investigating it,” a team spokesperson told DailyMail.com in an email.
