NBA Today host Malika Andrews marries ESPN colleague in lavish San Francisco wedding

ESPN television host Malika Andrews married colleague and NBA reporter Dave McMenamin this past weekend in the Bay Area. The wedding featured many basketball references.

Andrews, who hosts “NBA Today,” and McMenamin, a veteran reporter who regularly appears on the show, were married at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

The wedding took place at Cavallo Point Lodge, a luxury resort in a national park with stunning views of the iconic bridge.

During the reception, guests were welcomed with a flower-covered basketball hoop, a nod not only to their work but also to the way they met.

Andrews and McMenamin first met in 2017, when they were both assigned to cover a game between the Knicks and Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden.

“We were engaged for 21 months, so we had plenty of time to plan!” McMenamin told Vogue.

The couple, who prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye, said they needed two NBA offseasons to plan their wedding.

“Dave and I, leading up to the wedding, were asked all the time if we were stressed because the big day was fast approaching, and honestly, we never were,” said Andrews, who is from Cavallo Point.

Many ESPN colleagues celebrated the wedding with the bride and groom.

Richard Jefferson, former NBA champion and current analyst for ESPN, was spotted dancing to “Sweet Caroline” during the reception in a video posted to social media.

Other basketball references included McMenamin wearing Nike Kobe 6 Proto Mambacita Sweet 16 sneakers at the reception and music provided by Golden State Warriors DJ D Sharp.

“When you want something, the universe conspires to help you achieve it,” Andrews wrote on Instagram, alongside photos from the couple’s wedding day.
