Cleveland Cavaliers forward Caris LeVert claims to be the victim of a robbery after his $93,000 watch was stolen during a party at his Los Angeles home earlier this month, according to TMZ.

The 28-year-old Columbus, Ohio resident discovered an open watch case in his bedroom during the festivities and the rare timepiece was missing. TMZ reports that police were told someone had entered LeVert’s bedroom earlier in the evening.

The case is reportedly being investigated by the LAPD. Department spokesmen did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment early Thursday morning.

LeVert – a relative of O’Jays singer Eddie LeVert – is a key rotation player for the Cavs, averaging 30.2 minutes, 12.1 points, 3.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds en route to a playoff-high berth for Cleveland. The Cavaliers were eventually bounced in the first round by the New York Knicks.

The former University of Michigan star is just the latest athlete to be robbed in Los Angeles.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig’s home was previously broken into while playing in Houston during the 2017 World Series, but that same squad was caught the following year while fleeing the home of Los Angeles Rams receiver Robert Woods.

Four arrests were made in the case: Tyress Lavon Williams, 19; Damaji Corey Hall, 18; and Jshawne Lamon Daniels, 19.

Police believe the crew were also responsible for several other celebrity home burglaries, saying they found a list containing the names and addresses of more than a dozen athletes, musicians and actors that the teens planned to break into.

A search warrant of their home uncovered more than $50,000 in cash, plus watches, jewelry and designer purses.

Captain Lillian Carranza of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division said at a 2018 news conference that the crew singled out their victims by studying their touring and travel schedules and checking their social media posts.

“The burglars thought no one would be home and that the houses would contain desirable valuables that they might be interested in,” she said.
