NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal hilariously reveals why he pays $1,000 to get PEDICURES and his toenails painted: ‘I do like sparkles and designs!’

When asked how much he pays for pedicures, Shaquille O’Neal revealed not only the rate, but what he pays for and why.

On an episode of The Big Podcast, the NBA legend opened up about why he pays about $1,000 to get a pedicure and have his toenails painted.

“I’ll give about a thousand dollars. Because I know my feet stink. I know they are ugly. And I like to paint them. I paint that stuff because it’s ugly.’ O’Neal revealed.

When asked if he usually gets solid colors or designs, O’Neal revealed that he gets creative to make up for his “ugly feet.”

“I like glitter and designs and all that stuff,” he said. “Just to make it look nice because I have ugly, smelly feet.”

O’Neal won three titles with the Lakers and one with the Heat before retiring from the NBA

Additionally, the Hall of Famer shared that he had a memorable on-field appearance the first time he painted his nails, and has been doing so ever since.

‘True story. One time I had a toenail that was torn off. And I had no intention of playing in the game. My mom said, “Honey, why don’t you play the game?” I thought, ‘I tore off my toenail.’

“So she did something and put some red polish on it. And I had 40 (points) that game. So I thought, ‘You know what? I’m just going to start painting my toenails.”

The seven-footer had a legendary NBA career, winning three titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and one with the Miami Heat. He also served the Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics with his dominant presence before retiring in 2011.

O’Neal also had 15 All-Star selections, won the MVP award in 2000 and was crowned Finals MVP during his championship run with Los Angeles.
