Former NBA champion Channing Frye has called out Anthony Davis, blaming him for the majority of the Los Angeles Lakers battle.

The Lakers are 0-5 and have shot the ball at a historically poor pace en route to the team’s worst start in 65 years.

‘This isn’t about LeBron’ [James]”Frye, said on the… Road Trippin Podcast. “This isn’t about Russ. This is about AD This is 92 percent about AD’

Channing Frye Called Out Anthony Davis And Blamed Him For Majority Of LA Lakers Fight

“This isn’t about Russ. This is about AD This is 92 percent about AD,” he said on podcast

‘He’s the youngest. He can play in three different positions. … AD may have been the worst jump shooter in the NBA for the past two or three years.”

“AD won a championship, kudos to him,” Frye continued. “After that championship, he has not shown any qualities that he can replicate that” [elite level of play].’

Davis has been plagued with injuries since the Lakers won the title, playing in just 80 of the possible 169 games for the Lakers.

If he’s played, he’s still nowhere near what is expected of a player of his talents.

Last season, Davis shot a terrible 19 percent from a 3-point range in the 40 games he played. Of the nearly as bad 26 percent he shot from outside the arc.

The Lakers have attempted to trade point guard Russell Westbrook, who has also struggled to shoot the ball since arriving in LA, but Frye believes there should be more players on the trading bloc.

“Everyone is around except LeBron,” Frye said. “It’s just the honest truth… Take Bron and AD off the team and just put Russ on that team. How many matches will this team win? 30? This is a terrible team.’
