‘That’s an important moment for me’: NBA TV’s Greg Anthony blames the punch Draymond Green threw at Jordan Poole before the Warriors’ early-season battle, claiming that reigning champs were ‘NO cohesive unity is’
NBA TV analyst and former point guard Greg Anthony has blamed Draymond Green’s pre-season blow for the Golden State Warriors’ slow start.
Green infamously punched teammate Jordan Poole in practice, where he subsequently spent several days away from the team. Warriors lost to the Suns on Wednesday night.
“I go back to when all the craziness started with Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. I still firmly believe, yes, they have strong leadership in their locker room and their front office,” Anthony shared NBA TV.
Greg Anthony said he believes Draymond Green’s preseason hit is responsible for the Golden State Warriors’ struggles
“That’s an important moment for me. I still think this group is dealing with that.
“They’re going to say the right things, but the real proof is when you see them play. This is not a cohesive unit.
“They don’t seem to have the same level of fire or confidence, especially on the defensive side.”

The Warriors have started this season 6-9 and have yet to win a game on the road.
Outside of Stephen Curry, who scored 50 points in the team’s last game, the Warriors’ entire roster has struggled at one point or another.
Anthony continued, “The rest of the league are licking their chops. They look forward to playing them now.’
Green was not suspended for his actions, but was fined. He said he ‘couldn’t care less’ about the backlash on his cheeky sucker at Poole.
