Andrew Bogut has hit out at Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in a social media tirade for ‘telling boys they are toxic’.

Bogut, 38, a former NBA championship winner with the Golden State Warriors, is an outspoken critic of the government and regularly posts about the “woke” culture.

On Thursday, the Australian took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to fulfill Albanese’s pledge to “help young men maintain healthy, respectful relationships” with women.

He wrote: ‘Dear @AlboMP

“I will raise my two boys to be good people without telling them that they can be toxic because of their gender.

He wrote a letter to Anthony Albanese about a new toxic masculinity policy

“I will raise them without your government-funded lackeys telling them they are poisonous simply because of the way they were born.

“However, I will let them know how toxic governments are.”

It is not the first time that the basketball legend has discussed controversial topics. Earlier this year, he was labeled “transphobic” after claiming a “biological male” will play in women’s basketball this season.

“The word is that NBL1 South Women will have a biological male next season. Are you okay with sacrificing the sanctity of female sports in the name of ‘inclusion?'” he wrote.

‘#GirlDads where are you? The hashtag is trendy until action is needed.”

It quickly caused a storm of controversy, with some labeling him as ‘transphobic’ and misogynistic, while others shared his outrage.

AFLW and NBL1 star author Saraid Taylor was scathing about Bogut, sarcastically thanking him for his “concern” and labeling him “transphobic” for his views.

“Hey, thank you so much for your concern about the sanctity of women’s sports. It seems real,” she said in a cheeky response to his social media post.

He said he will teach his two sons how toxic governments are

“If you wouldn’t mind using your energy to highlight legitimate issues facing female athletes, rather than perpetuating transphobia, it would be greatly appreciated!

The irate star athlete then slammed Bogut for revealing which club he believed the ‘biological male’ played for – which was followed by an outpouring of outrage towards the club.

‘This is so incredibly irresponsible. It saddens me to read most of the responses to your tweets,” Taylor said.

‘Does it make you sad? Or do you enjoy the power you have to cultivate hatred in the world?’
