NBA champ Payton Pritchard ties the knot with influencer fiancée Emma MacDonald in stunning Cape Cod wedding

NBA champion Payton Pritchard added a new ring to his collection when he married influencer Emma MacDonald this past weekend on Cape Cod.

Nearly two months after the Celtics won their 18th NBA title in historic fashion, the point guard married MacDonald at the Wychmere Beach Club in her hometown of Massachusetts.

The bride looked stunning in a strapless dress with a low waist and a full tulle skirt.

She completed the look with a long veil, which flowed in the wind, and her blonde locks were pinned up in a glamorous updo.

The 26-year-old Pritchard looked handsome in a white tuxedo and an off-white shirt.

MacDonald explained in a clip posted to social media that after they started dating, Pritchard called her his girlfriend before they talked about making the relationship official.

He proposed to her less than a year later, getting down on one knee on the beach near her birthplace on Cape Cod.

“A love for life,” the two wrote in their engagement announcement last July.

The 6-foot-5 Oregon native enjoyed a banner year in 2023-24, playing in all 82 regular-season games and 19 postseason games, helping Boston win an NBA-record 18th championship.

MacDonald paid tribute to him on social media at the time, writing: ‘I am so incredibly proud of you and all that you have accomplished in this life so far! I can’t wait to be by your side for many more years to come! I love you x1000000.’

During the second quarter of the Celtics’ 106-88 Game 5 win over the Dallas Mavericks, Pritchard fired a shot from half court to send the Celtics into halftime.

In doing so, he became the first player in NBA history to make two 30-foot buzzer-beaters during the Finals, according to Stathead.

After averaging 9.6 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game during the season, Pritchard helped Celtics teammates Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White prepare for the recent Olympic Games in Paris.

The former Oregon Duck played for the United States men’s basketball team during the Olympic selection’s training camp in Las Vegas, serving as a practice game for LeBron James & Co.

Pritchard is a solid rotation player in Boston, where he is also known as “Fast PP.” Pritchard was a high school legend in Oregon, winning four straight state titles at West Linn, just outside of Portland.

His success in high school led to two Player of the Year honors in Oregon.

Pritchard was later selected by the Boston Celtics with the 26th pick of the 2020 NBA Draft and has since earned $1.04 million in his first four NBA seasons, according to Spotrac.com. Pritchard is signed for the next four seasons for a total of $30 million.
