NBA star Anthony Edwards tells women chasing him after agreeing to $260 million contract extension that his girlfriend Jeanine Robel is ‘the only one’ who will reap the benefits
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has warned interested women after agreeing to a $260 million contract extension, insisting his girlfriend Jeanine Robel is his “one and only.”
The 21-year-old finalist five-year extension earlier this week, with the eye-popping contract to start in the season 2024-25.
He is the fourth player to receive maximum rookie scale extension so far this summer Indiana‘s Tyrese Haliburton, Charlotte’s LaMelo Ball and Memphis’ Desmond Bane.
The deal means he’s a wanted man on and off the field, but Edwards has told the women who now pursue him that he’s only loyal to his girlfriend Robel.
“All the women who think you get a **** for signing a contract, she’s the only one,” Edwards said on social media before pointing the camera at Robel.

The Timberwolves and 21-year-old Edwards agreed on a maximum extension on Monday
The NBA star then pointed the camera at his dog and joked, “No, she.”
He added, “She’s the only one coming,… she’s new to the table, so I’m kind of green with her.”
“Everyone else, the light is the same color as my damn coat (red)… Can you feel me?”
Edwards was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and will turn 22 next month – when he is scheduled to be part of the USA Basketball roster for the FIBA World Cup.

His scoring, rebounding, assist, steal and shooting numbers have increased each season.
Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals on 46 percent shooting last season — while shooting 37 percent from 3-point range.
Only nine players averaged as many points, rebounds and assists per game as Edwards. He was the youngest of the nine at 21.
Add steals per game to that list and Edwards became the youngest player to reach those averages in each of those categories since LeBron James in 2005-2006.
