According to DownDetector, the issues started around 7am BST and are affecting customers across the country.
In response to complaints about
‘We are aware that customers do not have access to their app or online banking. We have reported this internally and it is currently being investigated by our technical team,” the statement said.

According to DownDetector, the issues started around 7am BST and are affecting customers across the country
To date, more than 3,900 reports have been registered on DownDetector.
Of those who reported problems, 64 percent said they struggled with mobile banking, while 25 percent had problems with online banking.
The remaining 10 percent said the problem was related to logging in online.
Several frustrated users have also gone to X to discuss the outage.
‘Dear NatWest, I do not have access to your online banking system nor your mobile app. Have you been hacked?’ one user tweeted.
Another added: ‘Natwest online banking is always broken when I need it.’
And someone said: ‘NatWest mobile banking goes down for hours on what is payday for many people (skull emojis).’
Although NatWest itself has not publicly confirmed the outage, its account has replied to users confirming the outage.
It remains unclear what the cause is and how long it will likely take for the problem to be resolved.
