Nationals outfielder Stone Garrett is carried away against the Yankees after collapsing in pain, injuring himself against the outfield wall while attempting to rob DJ LeMahieu of a home run
Washington Nationals outfielder Stone Garrett was carried away in the seventh inning in his team’s game against the New York Yankees on Wednesday-evening.
Garrett fell to the ground in obvious pain after attempting a play on the right outfield wall, sustaining an apparent left leg injury.
He attempted to rob DJ LeMahieu of a home run to give the Yankees a 7-0 lead, and apparently got his leg caught against the outside wall.
As LeMahieu circled the bases, Garrett collapsed and appeared to be in considerable pain as the National’s staff tended to him.
Garrett was eventually removed from the game and left the Yankees Stadium field on the back of a cart.
