National Healthcare Group’s community healthcare partners in Singapore have been given access to a digital platform to manage health programmes and enable the creation of digital records.

The NHG recently entered into a partnership with Accredify, a supplier of qualifications platforms, to develop the NHG Cares Partners Portal.
According to a press release, the portal simplifies the management of health programs, which are automatically synchronized with NHG‘s health and social care marketplace, Health Kampung. This enables NHG community partners to monitor demand by tracking registration and attendance and real-time updates.
The portal also enables NHG partners to access and leverage insights from anonymized population health data to design tailored community-based programs.
In addition, NHG partners can provide e-certificates to their participants in recognition of their efforts to improve their health and fitness. This further stimulates self-management in the community.
Later, NHG residents were able to use shared care services via the portal, including screening services and social prescribing.
The portal, which now has more than 20 community partners, has automated more than 400 health programs since its launch in April.
WHY IT MATTERS
NHG gives people in the community more control over their health by providing them with access to healthcare facilities in their neighborhood.
“The (p)ortal enables our community partners to effectively connect with residents and activate them to improve their health and well-being with relevant programs,” said Ong Jing Fang, Head of the Department of Public Health at NHG.
Accredify also shared that the organization may introduce verifiable medical records through its online portal. “The NHG Cares Partners Portal creates the necessary infrastructure for improved continuity of care and personal ownership of health information,” said CEO and co-founder Quah Zheng Wei.
THE BIGGER TREND
The NHG also implemented the Next Generation EMR (NGEMR) system as part of its digital transformation. The system gradually went live across the cluster, starting with National Healthcare Group Polyclinics in 2021. Tan Tock Seng Hospital rolled out the system the following year, becoming the first hospital in the cluster to go live with the integrated EMR system. The NGEMR, developed by Synapxe, is also live across the Cluster National University Hospital System.
