Nathan Cleary and Matildas superstar girlfriend Mary Fowler run errands as she returns to Australia

Mary, meanwhile, was shopping nearby with a male friend in tow.
The 21-year-old appeared to be picking up some last minute Christmas goodies and was seen carrying a brown paper bag.
She dressed casually in an all-brown ensemble in muted tones, including a baby T-shirt.
The footballer wore a puffer vest over the top and matched the look with a skirt in the same caramel shade.
Mary completed her look with a bright blue boho tote bag and a pair of wool slip-on shoes from Ugg.
Nathan recently revealed that he is interested in settling down and starting a family with Mary.
But he also explained the difficulties of maintaining a long-distance relationship.
Fresh from leading Penrith to their fourth consecutive premiership title, Cleary and Fowler spent a few weeks together after this year’s NRL grand final.

He had flown to England to be with her and followed her to Switzerland to watch her play for the Matildas.
Their relationship appeared to go a step further when Cleary was photographed with Matildas star Katrina Gorry’s daughter Harper as he watched the Aussies take on Germany.
It was the first time he was photographed spending time with his partner’s best friends.
Cleary had to return home in November to undergo shoulder surgery in time to be fully healthy for the start of the NRL season on March 1 next year.
But he and Fowler have both been busy posting photos of each other on social media as they keep their long-distance relationship alive.
However, Cleary has admitted that the distance between them is taking its toll.
“It was tough, it’s definitely not something I ever thought I would do,” he told the Keegan and Company podcast.
“I think what helped us was that as soon as we met and we started talking a little bit, we knew it was going to lead to that path and if we wanted to do it, it was going to take a long time. distance.

“Sometimes you just come home and you want to have a little cuddle, but I think it’s helped us connect on more than just a physical level and have real conversations.
“We just navigate around it and when we see each other it’s the best thing ever. You are truly grateful for the moments we get to spend together,” he added.
“We’re constantly talking on FaceTime or whatever and kind of finding our way through that.”
The Panthers playmaker said both he and Fowler have discussed having children, but the arrangements are not ideal for a family at the moment.
“It’s obviously difficult because we’re both quite stuck in our sport,” he said.
‘I definitely want to have children in the future. I wish it was with Mary, I just think she will be the best mother.
‘But hey, we’ll see. There is no rush at the moment, but certainly in the future… after football I would like to have a small family of my own.’
Cleary said the key to their relationship is that they both understand each other’s world.

“That’s true and she certainly understands,” Nathan explained.
“People look at us and think we talk about our sports all the time, but sometimes it’s just fun to just sit there as two people and enjoy each other’s company and talk about something other than sports,” he continued.
“I think for both of us, probably a lot of people want to talk about sports all the time,” he added.
‘And I think when we’re together we just enjoy each other’s company, but it’s always that support and trust that if something goes wrong we can talk to each other about it and share ideas with each other, it’s been really nice . ‘
Meanwhile, Fowler recently decided to withdraw from the national team for the recent international matches against Brazil and Taiwan.
She said she needed to ‘take this time to prioritize recovery to refresh both mentally and physically so that I can continue to put my best self forward for both club and country’.
Fowler recently returned to action for Manchester City with a fantastic goal in the 4-0 defeat to Leicester.
