Nathalie Emmanuel will play legendary boxer Nigel Benn’s wife in a new film about his infamous rivalry with Chris Eubank.

The 33-year-old Game Of Thrones star will take on the role of Sharon Crowley, who married the boxer in 1991.

The upcoming film, directed by David Harewood, is titled Benn/Eubank and will explore the story of two of Britain’s most rival fighters.

The story of the Benn/Eubank boxing match in 1990 has an enduring fascination – just look at the fight over the fight between their sons.

Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr, which was scheduled to take place last week. It was postponed after Conor Benn failed a random drug test.

Now the original story is coming to the big screen with a movie titled Benn/Eubank and directed by lead actor David Harewood. Shooting is slated to begin in the UK later this year.

Character: The Game Of Thrones star, 33, will take on the role of Sharon Crowley, who married the boxer in 1991.

British actress Nathalie, whose career has taken her from Hollyoaks to Game Of Thrones and the Fast And Furious films, plays Nigel Benn’s ex-wife, Sharon.

Emmanuel, 33, was working in a clothing store when she got a call to play Daenerys Targaryen’s translator Missandei in GoT.

Sharon’s husband, Nigel, is played by Joshua Maynard, who recently completed the spaghetti western TV series That Dirty Black Bag. Chris Eubank is played by David Jonsson, who plays Gus in the BBC banking drama Industry.

Harewood notes, “Their stories require that they be told in full, and while they cannot be fully known without each other, they are also much more than each other.

“This is my story too: as a young man I suffered from psychosis, and there were elements that still affect young black men today.

“I hope it will be an exciting, moving and educational experience for audiences around the world as we explore brotherhood, the blurred line between love and hate, and our universal quest for belonging.”
