Natalie Bassingthwaighte suffered a wardrobe malfunction on Tuesday while attending the Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady Launch event.
The singer caused quite a stir alongside Virgin founder Richard Branson in her chrome mini dress, but because the gown was made of real metal, she literally set off the alarm.
'Never wear metal! I took off with the metal detector,” the 48-year-old told Ny Breaking Australia at the event.
'The whole dress came off. I didn't have to take it off. Security said, 'Excuse me, you're wearing metal!'
Natalie opted for a lot of glamor and wore a semi-sheer, glittering mini dress that showed off plenty of bust.

She worked her angles in the racy number, which she paired with strappy nude stacked heels.
Natalie went for an equally glamorous makeup look with bright red lipstick and channeled old Hollywood with her blonde hair in big curls.
She raved about Virgin Voyages cruises and said she had been on a few in her time.
'I don't know Richard, but I've been on a luxury getaway cruise abroad. It was incredible, really amazing,” she told Ny Breaking Australia.

Resilient Lady will depart from its home port of Melbourne for Tasmania on December 11.
The cruise line's voyages are all adults-only.
Resilient Lady has an onboard tattoo parlor and even has a special feature where guests can request a glass of champagne via their phone, wherever they are on the boat.
The ship has already sailed through countries such as Greece, Croatia, Dubai, Bali and Singapore.
