Natalie Bassingthwaighte and ex-husband Cameron McGlinchey appear to have a tense exchange as they are reunited at Sydney airport after split

Natalie Bassingthwaighte has reunited with her ex-husband Cameron McGlinchey as a co-parent during the school holidays.

Natalie, 50, and Cameron, 49, were spotted at Sydney Airport with their two children on Thursday.

The Rogue Traders singer and drummer, who share pre-teens Harper, 14, and Hendrix, 11, confirmed their split after 13 years of marriage in August 2023.

Natalie debuted her relationship with theater director Pip Loth just weeks later in November.

The Rogue Traders are currently on a regional nostalgia tour and performed all the hits from their platinum album Here Comes the Drums at the Art House theater in Wyong on Thursday evening.

Natalie and Cameron traveled as a family from Sydney and reunited with their bandmates James Ash and Tim Henwood on the Central Coast.

The pair appeared to have a tense conversation in the domestic terminal as they organized themselves.

Cameron appeared to listen to his ex-wife before walking away and in front of his family.

Natalie, who is currently starring in The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition, recently celebrated her 50th birthday with her partner Pip in the Queensland outback.

They celebrated the milestone at a luxury lodge on a 28,000-hectare cattle station.

Natalie and Cameron reportedly quietly ended their marriage sometime in late 2022, before Natalie confirmed the split in August 2023 and publicly announced her romance with theater director Pip in Stellar magazine last November.

In the interview, Natalie revealed that Cameron knew about her new relationship before she made the news public and encouraged her to stand in her truth.

“I am in a beautiful relationship with a woman who makes my heart smile and makes me very happy,” she said at the time.

As media interest in her split from her ex-partner increased, Natalie said she immediately called Cameron ‘hysterically’ fearing she would get out.

“He said, ‘It’s okay. This is your truth and you have to sit and stand in it now and own it,” she revealed.

“So it’s just wonderful to have that support from him, and I’m very grateful for it.”

Natalie and Pip met while the singer was performing in the musical Jagged Little Pill.

Natalie and her 14-year-old daughter shared two tender moments at the airport on Friday.

After Cameron walked away, Harper was pictured touching her mother’s arm before walking alongside her to the security gates.

Looking the spitting image of her famous mother when she was younger, the teen was comfortably dressed in a navy blue T-shirt and gray sweatpants, her blonde hair with highlights hanging loosely around her shoulders.

The only sign of Harper’s status as a celebrity child was the Louis Vuitton Caryall MM bag, which she slung over her shoulder.

The monogrammed denim canvas bag with natural cowhide trim retails for AUD$8163 (USD$5590).

Meanwhile, Hendrix wore fluorescent orange shorts, a black sweatshirt and a red backpack with his father’s last name, McGlinchey, written on the back.

Just last month, the Neighbors star hit back at the “malicious” and “bitter” haters who routinely criticize her gay relationship with her girlfriend and make disparaging comments about her modern family online.

In the second time the singer and actor addressed her haters online.

Natalie said she would disable the ability to reply to her posts, explaining that she is particularly upset about comments about her family.

‘It is inappropriate to comment on my relationship with my partner, my ex and my children. We have all worked extremely hard to get where we are and I am proud of all of us for that. We are safe, we are happy and we are doing well,” she said.

‘How dare you suggest that I’m not a great mother or a great person, or comment on the way I look!

“It took me a long time to love who I am, and I won’t let that be taken away from you.”

Natalie went on to say that she “forgives” the people who have wronged her in the past.

“I can only imagine what you have been through, and for that I am sorry,” she wrote.

Harper and Hendrix celebrated their respective birthdays in recent months.

In a heartfelt tribute video shared to Instagram, Cameron wrote: ’14 today boy! Are you going too fast…slow down please?!” to his daughter.

‘What a daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, sister, cousin, friend and charisma you are.

“You take the wins with humility and absorb the bumps with grace, all class. What a privilege it is to see you taking shape.’

The next stop on the Rogue Traders tour is Civic Hall in Ballarat, where they will perform on Saturday.
