Liev, 52, was accompanied to the screening by his wife Taylor Neisen, 32, with whom he has a one-year-old daughter, Hazel.
Across The River And Into The Trees is based on the 1950 novel of the same name by Ernest Hemingway. The story is set in Italy at the end of World War II.
During his final public appearance in support of the film, Liev beamed with bliss, surrounded by his wife and children.

In his new film, Liev plays terminally ill American soldier Colonel Richard Cantwell, who falls in love with an 18-year-old Italian countess named Renata.
Renata is played by Italian actress Matilda De Angelis, who previously appeared in the HBO miniseries The Undoing with Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman.
Josh Hutcherson plays Jackson, an American soldier who is Richard’s driver on a duck hunt, which is the central theme of the book.
The film premiered at the 2022 Sun Valley Film Festival in Idaho and will finally hit theaters in a limited release this Friday.
