One irate traveler described being told to “cover up or get out” while enjoying a cocktail at a beachside pub.

Naomi Tibbles was in a pub on Stradbroke Island in Queensland for 15 minutes before several security guards approached her.

She said she was told she couldn’t wear thongs in the pub because of the dress code, before changing her focus when she pointed out that she was actually wearing sandals.

The men then explained that the pub was a “family establishment” and that her crocheted pants and bikini top were not appropriate.

“And this son of a bitch says, ‘Do you have anything to cover yourself?’ I said, ‘No, not really, because I’m on the fucking island and I was just on the beach, we’re on the fucking beach island, you’re actually on the beach,’” she recounted in an angry video on Instagram.

Naomi said that she was sitting at the bar, where children are not allowed, and that there were only two children in the pub, at the other end of the establishment.

She said security told her thongs were not allowed in the venue, but was told the whole outfit was a problem when she pointed out she was wearing sandals.

He also added that he was just drinking his splash of watermelon and had walked two miles before stopping at the pub to rest.

Naomi described the incident as “rude, embarrassing and disgusting”.

‘Absolutely not sorry about this one. Halfway through my cocktail before they tell me in front of the whole damn establishment? she exploded.

And her fans agreed, the pub was out of place, with many claiming her outfit was perfectly fine.

The model said she walked two miles in the heat to get to the pub and was halfway through her drink when security approached her.

“I’ve seen fewer clothes in the supermarket and restaurants on the Gold Coast… what’s your problem,” said one woman.

“Sounds good to me, on a beach, on an island, in Australia,” added another.

Others said they “always wear swimsuits in the shops and pubs” on the famous island.
