Naomi Osaka announces split from longtime partner and baby daddy Cordae
Naomi Osaka and her longtime partner Cordae have split, she revealed on Sunday evening.
The tennis star and the rapper started dating in 2019 and welcomed daughter Shai four years later in the summer of 2023.
However, the 27-year-old wrote in a statement on her Instagram Story that she and Cordae are “no longer in a relationship.”
“No bad blood at all, he’s a great person and a great father,” she continued.
“Honestly, I’m really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my greatest blessing and I have been able to grow a lot through our experiences together.”
Last weekend, Osaka reached the final of the ASB Classic in Auckland before retiring due to injury.

She shared the news of the breakup with fans by posting a statement on her Instagram page
“All jokes aside, I just want to say a big thank you to my team and everyone close to me for having my back and keeping me sane (although that’s debatable LOL), I’m really, really grateful,” she said. wrote after the tournament Wires.

Osaka has returned to form after missing the entire 2023 season on maternity leave.
She upset world number 10 Jelena Ostapenko in the first round of the US Open, and her run in Auckland was her first final appearance in almost three years.
The four-time Grand Slam champion is now ranked 50th in the world as the Australian Open approaches.
Cordae does not appear to have commented on his split with Osaka.
