A year after her “private” White House wedding, first granddaughter Naomi Biden posted an eight-minute tribute video to her Instagram Sunday to celebrate the first anniversary of her marriage to groom Peter Neal.
The glittering South Lawn ceremony took place on a 40-degree day last November and celebrated the bride, 29, and groom, 26, and their families in regal, yet traditional American style.
Footage shows Naomi, a Columbia Law School graduate, gliding across the White House lawn in her custom lace Ralph Lauren dress – one of three outfits she wore throughout the day.
The groom also wore a custom three-piece suit from Ralph Lauren.
Shots of mood-setting music included vignettes of each member of the Biden clan at the wedding.
Notoriously troubled first son Hunter Biden, the bride’s father, looks dapper as he toasts his new son-in-law and later guides Naomi through a traditional father-daughter dance.

The video included parts of President Joe Biden’s speech in which he welcomed guests to the White House to celebrate his family.
He said he owed a “great debt of gratitude” to the American people for allowing him to stay at the famed residence, but said it had only truly felt like home when his family was able to gather there and celebrate an emotional milestone .
The White House interior, some of it elegant and much of it historic on an ordinary day, looked polished and chic for the wedding.
One shot in the video showed Naomi walking into the Oval Office to see her dress, which was glowing in the autumn sun.
During the ceremony, which saw the bride’s divorced parents walk her down the aisle, the 250 guests also wrapped themselves in blankets provided by the White House to stay warm on the chilly day.
After the 11 a.m. ceremony, the Bidens hosted a luncheon for friends and family in the State Dining Room of the people’s home.
Later in the evening, guests were invited back to the White House for a black-tie reception with dessert, drinks and dancing.
The bride and groom stood on a ladder to cut their eight-tiered wedding cake.
At the time, Naomi wore an elegant, sleeveless Reem Acra sheath dress, which she paired with transparent evening gloves.
Shortly after the ceremony, the White House released this official image of the first couple flanking the newlyweds
About 250 guests gathered on the South Lawn of the White House last November, wrapped in blankets on a 40-degree day, for the couple’s wedding ceremony.
The ceremony lasted about an hour before family and friends were invited to the White House State Dining Room for a formal lunch
The couple was introduced in the summer of 2018 through a mutual friend in the Hamptons
Shots from the party included raucous dancing as the newlyweds celebrated with their friends and family.
Hunter was once again captured having fun on the dance floor, as were some of his other children, namely Naomi’s two younger sisters, Maisy and Finnegan Biden.
Tears were also shed as the couple’s close friends and family gave speeches in their honor. Several of the groom’s relatives praised his new bride, and the couple’s friends toasted their enduring love.
Naomi’s cousins, the children of her late uncle Beau Biden – the president’s other son – tearfully told her that their father would be proud of her.
In a Vogue profile released shortly after the wedding, it was revealed that Naomi and Peter had moved to the third floor of the White House residence in the fifteen months leading up to the wedding to be closer to the planning process.

Early images of the couple were seen posing for many photos on the White House balcony as the bride’s extremely long train billowed in the wind.
Naomi revealed she spent evenings with First Lady Jill Biden, who the president’s grandchildren call “Nana,” discussing the details of the wedding over a glass of wine.
In the video, Jill can be heard warmly welcoming guests to the grand reception of the White House.
The wedding was the 19th known to have been held at the White House and the first ever on the South Lawn.
In a ceremony probably most similar to that of the first granddaughter, Tricia Nixon – the daughter of then-President Richard Nixon – was married at the White House in June 1971.
