The eldest son of former Manchester United star Nani has followed in his father’s footsteps by signing for Sporting CP’s youth team.

The Portuguese posted a photo on Twitter of Lucas signing a contract with the club and captioned it with an emoji of a pen, green heart and lion.

The nine-year-old beamed with the legend of the Red Devils as he put pen to paper and wore the green and white shirt.

The 36-year-old winger came over from his youth team Real Massama to Sporting CP in 2004.

Nani won the National Youth Championship in 2004-05 with Sporting and was promoted to the first team in the 2005-06 season.
