Former Manchester United stars Nani and Patrice Evra have jokingly urged Gary Neville and Paul Scholes to ‘be careful with the tackles’ when they face each other at Soccer Aid on Sunday.
The pair will play in a star-studded World XI squad at Old Trafford, with Usain Bolt captaining a squad that includes Hernan Crespo, Roberto Carlos and UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
They will be led by new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, while their opponents England will have a choice of European Championship winner Jill Scott and four-time Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah.
However, Evra and Nani were thinking of their former United teammates, as the French full-back said on Instagram: “Hi guys, Gary Neville, Scholesy can’t wait to see you guys tomorrow at Old Trafford, home sweet home.”
He added that they should have ‘no beer or fish and chips’ prior to the game, while Nani asked them to ‘be careful with the tackles’.

Nani and Evra both won three Premier Leagues and a Champions League with United, spending most of their time there with the English pair.
The left-back retired from football in 2019 after a short spell at West Ham with a year as a free agent, while Nani last played for Melbourne Victory in the A-League, but left the club at the end of May.
Soccer Aid, which raises money for UNICEF, will have an all-female refereeing team for the first time with Abigail Byrne, the senior official, taking the lead.
Georgia Ball and Nicoleta Bria will be Byrne’s assistants, while Jane Sims will have the fourth official duty.
There will be no VAR and play will go straight to penalties if the result is a draw.
