Nancy Pelosi has VERY awkward response when asked about her relationship with Biden after he dropped out of the race

Nancy Pelosi said you “have to ask” Joe Biden about the state of their relationship, after the former House Speaker admitted she hasn’t spoken to him since he ended his re-election campaign.

The two Democratic Party leaders have been allies in Washington for decades, but some allege Pelosi was involved in the effort to push the 81-year-old Biden out of the race.

Pelosi, appearing on CNN as part of a media tour to promote her new memoir, appeared unable to dispel the rumors when asked about Biden on Monday.

Dana Bash asked her, “Have you spoken to President Biden since he left office?”

“No,” replied the 84-year-old Pelosi, who will officially bear the title of Speaker Emarata after stepping down as speaker in 2023.

Bash then asked, “Is everything okay with your relationship?”

“You should ask him that,” Pelosi noted.

Earlier on Monday, Pelosi said revealed the brutal reason why she wanted Biden to drop out of the presidential race.

“I asked for a campaign that would win. And I didn’t see that coming,” she told ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday.

But she denies reports that she led a pressure campaign to get Biden to withdraw from the race.

“The only person I talked to about this was the president. Other people called me to ask what their opinion was, but I rarely called back, let alone initiated one myself,” she said.

The former speaker has spent much of her interviews praising Biden for leaving the race, even telling CBS he belongs on Mount Rushmore.

There are reports that Biden is angry with her for her role in his impeachment. Pelosi worked behind the scenes to calm panicked Democrats after Biden’s first debate appearance, during which he stared into space and struggled to answer questions.

Democrats feared that with Biden in the lead, they would lose the House of Representatives, the Senate and the White House.

It was said that Pelosi passed these messages to the White House.

Publicly, she has always said she trusts Biden to make the right decision, a message she reiterated in Monday’s interview.

“I have the utmost respect for the president,” she told GMA. “I think he will be one of the most influential presidents in our country. I want him, his legacy, to be recognized and preserved.”

“I didn’t ask him to resign. I asked for a campaign that would win. And I didn’t see that coming,” she said.

She also explained what it takes to run a successful campaign: “Winning an election is a decision.

‘You make a decision to win and you make every decision in favor of winning, in terms of how you mobilize at the grassroots level and take control of the terrain to get more votes.

‘How to deliver a message that is bold and progressive, but not threatening to the audience.

“And how do you have the money to do that, to raise that largely from small donors. And then the most important decision is the candidate.”
