Nambour bus interchange assault: Man critical after horror attack at bus station north of Brisbane

A man is in hospital fighting for his life after an alleged attack at a rural bus station north of Brisbane.

The alleged attack took place near the Nambour bus interchange at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

“Emergency services were called to the Civic Way address at approximately 3.15pm to reports of a fight between two men, believed to be known to each other,” a Queensland Police statement said.

‘On arrival, a 39-year-old man was found with serious head injuries.

“He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.”

It is understood the man, the suspected attacker, fled the scene.

Nambour is a small town about 110 km north of Brisbane.

Witnesses or people with information are asked to contact police.
