A man who dressed up as a naked character from The Sims for Halloween has divided the internet.
New York-based marketing executive Andrew Pagonis went viral this weekend after sharing a scantily clad photo of himself in a costume at a Halloween party.
The 29-year-old left little to the imagination in the outfit, which consisted of nothing more than two pieces of pixelated cardboard to cover his crotch and backside.
“Talk to me in Simlish,” he captioned the image, referencing the popular gaming series.
The image quickly racked up over 12 million views on X, with many debating whether or not the costume was appropriate.

“He annoys me because his Halloween costume is just him with no clothes on,” wrote one.
Another commented: ‘To be honest he looks old doing all this. That’s probably why he’s being ridiculed.’
The criticism also led to an outpouring of support from users eager to defend the businessman.
“Everyone is angry in quotes because his body is amazing and he can afford to go to a Halloween party naked,” one wrote.
Another wrote: ‘Say what you want, if I had a body like that I wouldn’t even come up with an excuse. My costume every year would just be ‘naked gay’.
Another wrote: ‘I’m laughing because people are angry about this? Y’all claim that all bodies are beautiful and you shouldn’t be ashamed in 2024, but when it doesn’t fit into the pity narrative you all get angry.’
A fourth added: ‘I can’t tell which one is the bigger portion just because it’s so hot or causing such a stir because it’s so hot.’

Andrew later posted more photos of himself at the party, including one of him walking half-naked to the bar for a drink
After noting that his post had gone viral on X, Pagonis said he appreciated “all the love” before directing fans to follow him on Instagram.

This Halloween season has been marked by a number of racy costumes, many of which came from major celebrities.
Actress Nicola Peltz turned heads this week by dressing as a Playboy bunny, while Joy Corrigan wore lingerie for her Victoria’s Secret model costume.
