Octomom Nadia Suleman has marked a major milestone in the lives of her octuplets: their first day of eighth grade.

The 47-year-old single mother of 14, who famously welcomed her octuplets in January 2009, after conceiving them via IVF, shared a photo of her eight 13 year olds – six boys and two girls – on Instagram, showing them lined up in height order while beaming happily together.

‘First day of 8th grade. Be proud of yourselves kids for being kind, respectful, and helpful to your fellow peers, teachers and staff. You are exceptional role models to the 6th and 7th graders. I love you,’ Suleman sweetly captioned her post.

Loving tribute: Suleman posted words of encouragement and love for her youngest children on social media

Looking like they were happy, confident and ready to take on their last year in middle school, Nariyah, Isaiah, Maliyah, Jeremiah, Noah, Josiah, Jonah, and Makai stood proud in front of their garage.

Showing off their individual styles and distinct personalities, the octuplets were equipped with their backpacks and one another as they went back to school.

Noticeably absent from the picture were Suleman’s older six children which Suleman also acknowledged in her post by saying, ‘(Side note to critics: their older siblings did not want me to post a picture on their first day. I respect their choice, so should you.)’

Suleman, a single mother to her brood of 14 children, received international attention and became media fodder when it was announced in 2008 that she was expecting octuplets.

Conceived via in-vitro fertilization, it was a hot-button topic in medical circles when it was revealed that her doctor willfully implanted twelve embryos in the young single woman without her consent.

The reality TV star said she never intended to have that many and was ‘misled’ by her doctor.

The single mom told The New York Times in December 2018 that her doctor made her think she was only going to have twins. She ended up having eight children.

The star welcomed octuplets in January 2009. She said Dr. Michael Kamrava, who has since lost his medical license and moved out of the United States, is the reason she has so many children, she says.

‘I was misled by my doctor,’ Suleman asserted. She thought she would have only two children.

Family ties: The star shared an image of 11 of her 14 toddlers a while back

Because news outlet was unable to reach the doctor, Kamrava’s friend Rabbi David Shofet told the Times: ‘He told me he suggested to her not to keep all of them, but she said no.’

Despite what people have said about her and her choices before, Suleman has proven her critics wrong.

She has raised her 14 kids in a three-bedroom home in Orange County, California as a single mother.

She fit all the names on the cake! All eight children saw their names on the white cake

In February, the ‘Octomom’ celebrated her youngest children’s thirteenth birthdays in which she took them bowling and out for cake and fun in the park.

Suleman has stated that God and family are her life.

The strong and determined mother of 14 children ages 13 to 21-years-old holds down the fort with the help of her eldest kids and fostering immense love and respect within her brood.
