Angry NAB Bank customers were hit by a major technical outage on Thursday afternoon and evening that affected internet, mobile and desktop banking services.
By 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, more than 1,900 complaints had been received by the technical monitoring website Downdetector from frustrated customers who were unable to use the bank’s app or other online services.
NAB told Daily Mail Australia at 6.39pm that services were back up and running.
According to Downdetector, the first reports of NAB services not working came in around 3:50 PM.
It is the second major technical outage to hit the bank in the past two months.
“There is currently a technical issue with NAB’s systems which is affecting the functionality of the NAB app and internet banking,” NAB tweeted on Thursday evening.
‘Please give us a moment as our support teams are working hard to resolve this. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.’

‘Is there a problem with internet banking? It takes ages to log in and once you’re logged in you get kicked out immediately,’ someone tweeted.
“(What) the f**k is wrong with NAB internet banking?” asked another, more bluntly.
‘It seems NAB banking is down again. Is this just a NAB thing these days? What’s causing these issues?’ asked another X user.
Is there a problem with internet banking? Very slow to log in and once you are in you are immediately thrown out.
