Mystery as Florida woman last seen in the back of an New York City ambulance in scrubs vanishes

A Florida woman who came to New York City to visit her sister disappeared Monday, apparently disappearing into the back of an ambulance while wearing scrubs.

Joslyn Garrido, 40, disappeared while being transported from Weill Cornell Medical Center on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to White Plains Hospital.

When the ambulance stopped in traffic around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Garrido jumped out and has not been seen or heard from since.

She was wearing a blue scrub top and gray sweatpants, and the NYPD is urgently appealing for information on her whereabouts.

It is unclear why Garrido needed medical attention.

Officials described her as a Hispanic woman with brown hair, brown eyes, weighing 150 pounds and standing 6 feet tall.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
