Myleene Klass reveals she made fiancé Simon Motson sign a contract when he moved in and has put her fortune in a trust to protect her children

Myleene Klass appeared on ITV’s Loose Women as a guest panelist on Friday, where she discussed marriage, divorce and children.

During her time on the show, the former Hear’Sai star, 45, revealed she made her fiance Simon Motson sign a contract when he moved into her home.

Myleene also explained how she put her wealth in trust to protect her children – daughters Ava, 16, and Hero, 12, as well as son Apollo, four – from potential future partners who see them as ‘payday’.

Speaking about whether or not marriage is for life, Myleene – whose ex-husband Graham Quinn left her in 2012 after a year of marriage – said: ‘I’m divorced. I have a blended family.

“We (she and Simon) have been together for 8 years. He also has children. There are children who grow up and see if the marriage works.’

Legal!

Legal! “When he came to live in our family house, he signed a contract. “Not a prenuptial agreement because we’re not married, but like a tenancy agreement, or a cohabitation agreement,” Myleen said.

The I’m A Celeb star admitted that post-divorce can be extremely difficult, explaining: ‘What you’re left with. You can potentially lose your house, half of your earnings. You are in no man’s land not knowing what your rights are.

“I told my kids that they would never be in that situation.” We have very open conversations.’

Speaking about her current relationship, Mylene continued: “I’m engaged. When my partner Sim, a very nice man, came to live in our family home, he signed the contract.

Not a prenuptial agreement because we’re not married, but like a tenancy agreement, I guess, or a cohabitation agreement. He was so sweet, he said “I don’t need that with you, it’s fine, I’ll just sign anything.”

I told him, “No please go and read this. Go and look in the fine print it says then I know you know what you’re getting into” and if you still go in with that…

“It’s not about romance, you can still have romance.” It gives you real clarity. I know what you earn, I know what you have, I know what you bring.

“I told my daughters ‘if you get together you can’t touch mummy’s money, it’s in trust’, which is true.” So no one can look like they think there’s a payday.

“This is not about women. I also don’t want my son to be in a situation where he can be taken advantage of.”

Myleen and her ex-husband Graham first started dating in 2001 when he was a bodyguard for her produced pop band Hear’Sai.

They split when it was revealed Graham had jumped bail after being arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin in Ireland, but later got back together and got engaged in 2005.

The couple finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2011, but split for good just six months later when Graham dumped his wife on her 34th birthday. They divorced a year later.
