Tina wrote: ‘My sincere prayers go out to my ‘My Three Sons’ dear ‘lil’ sis, Dawn Lyn (Dodie) and her husband John. Dawn is fighting for her life after brain surgery.”

Lyn’s brother, actor and musician Leif Garrett, 60, told the publication: “My sister, Dawn, never wanted anyone to know about the surgery.

Dawn started acting when she was four years old when she appeared at age 4 as a Native American boy in the B-grade western Cry Blood, Apache.

In 1969, she played Prudence Everett in the pilot for the ABC series Nanny and the Professor, but when the television pilot initially failed to sell, she was fired from her contract with ABC.

Lyn has also appeared on shows including Adam-12, Emergency!, Marcus Welby, MD, Barnaby Jones and Gunsmoke.

In 1971, she played the daughter of Gregory Peck’s character in the movie Shoot Out and had a lead role in a 1973 episode of Mannix.

Her last on-screen acting credit was in the 1978 Wonder Woman episode “My Teenage Idol is Missing.”

Dawn retired from acting in 1977 and was last known in real estate.
