My Old A** trailer: Aubrey Plaza’s younger self hallucinates during hilarious magic mushroom trip in Margot Robbie-produced comedy
The hilarious first trailer for My Old A** starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza debuted Thursday.
In this coming-of-age dramedy, rising star Maisy stars as 18-year-old Elliott, who is spending her last summer on her family’s cranberry farm before heading off to university in Toronto.
After an accident with a mushroom, Elliott meets her future self (Plaza), who warns her not to fall in love with a guest worker on her father’s farm, played by Wednesday alumnus Percy Hynes White.
“I think it’s kind of clever because I’m middle-aged,” the younger Elliott tells the older Elliott, to which the latter quips, “I’m a young adult.”
Written and directed by Megan Park, My Old A** also stars Maddie Ziegler and Kerrice Brooks and is produced by Margot Robbie.

To celebrate her 18th birthday, she and her best friends go to a remote island for a mushroom trip.

However, when she encounters Chad (Percy Hynes White), the very person she needs to avoid, her plans become complicated.
As she spends more time with Chad, Elliott begins to reconsider her older self’s advice.

She founded the production in 2014 together with her husband, filmmaker Tom Ackerley.
