My Kitchen Rules’ mother-daughter team Janey and Maddie make shock career announcement

My Kitchen Rules mother-daughter team Janey Willox and Maddie Devereux have revealed their exciting new career plans.

The pair, who took part in the 2024 series of competitive cooking show Channel Seven, recently told their Instagram fans that they had started a catering business.

‘We present you our new company called Kitchen Queens. We are here for all your family meals, dinners and catering needs,” they told fans.

They explained that the aim of their business was to take the pressure off people who are stressed about cooking for others by doing all the hard work for them.

‘If you don’t feel like cooking, we are ready for you. If you don’t feel like cooking during the week, we have the solution for you.

‘We have an extensive menu of family favorite recipes that are super healthy and delicious and that we promise you and your loved ones will love.

‘The Kitchen Queens have everything taken care of for you when it comes to your next dinner party. If you don’t feel like cooking, we’re here for you.’

The pair added that the business would launch in early 2025 and begin offering catering services across Melbourne.

Many of their followers quickly took to the comments section to express their excitement over the news.

‘Congratulations. What an absolute treat for people,” one user wrote.

‘What a great concept! Congratulations guys, this is so good!’ a second person added.

The Melbourne duo consistently impressed the judges with their delicious dishes at last year’s MKR.

They were eliminated from the series in the first round of the semi-finals in November.

The pair occasionally clashed with other contestants and in October, simmering tensions finally boiled over.

Bad blood had arisen on the show between contestants Lawrence, who works with fiancée Hannah, and Janey, who works with daughter and fellow ‘kitchen queen’ Maddie.

To diffuse the situation, Instant Restaurant hosts Mike and Pete invited the feuding couple to extend “an olive branch” to each other so the table could enjoy the three-course meal in peace.

“The tactic behind the olive branch tonight is that they accept peace,” Mike explained. ‘Everyone will have a great time.

“That’s why everyone will be happy when it comes to scoring.”

Despite the host’s best efforts, the mood at the table quickly soured when Janey and Maddie discovered what had been said about their Instant Restaurant the week before.

“I said this is arrogance,” Lawrence said, doubling down on his comments from last week when confronted.

“I thought it tasted like arrogance.”

A clearly surprised Janey told the cameras she felt “offended” by Lawrence’s comments.

“You had the audacity to hand me an olive branch at the beginning of the night, which was completely fake. Inside I was raging,” Janey said of Lawrence.

After declaring that she “couldn’t handle” Lawrence, Janey got up from the table and stormed out, followed closely by Maddie.
