My Kitchen Rules judges stunned by Coco and Pearls’ ‘raunchy’ act as other contestants deem it inappropriate for a family show: ‘It was a little bit 50 Shades of Grey’
The judges of My Kitchen Rules are baffled by Coco and Pearls’ ‘raunchy’ act, while other participants consider it inappropriate for a family show: ‘It was a bit like 50 Shades of Grey’
Controversial My Kitchen Rules contestants Coco and Pearls raised eyebrows during Monday night’s episode with a “raunchy” demand for eating their dessert.
NSW’s ‘alpha women’ told judges Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel they had to be blindfolded to try their dish to enhance the eating experience.
Fellow contestants were divided over the strange move, with some praising the unique idea and others labeling it inappropriate for a family show.
“It was a very Coco and Pearls moment – very glamorous, a bit raunchy, a bit sexy, a bit 50 Shades of Grey,” said Rachel, born in Western Australia.
Claudean, however, was not so kind and criticized the stunt: ‘I just thought it was weird. I’m super confused, it was 50 Shades like confusion.”

The judges looked nervous as Coco and Pearls covered their eyes with red blindfolds before serving them a tasty ice cream dessert.
Fortunately, the jury was good sports and ate the dessert with the blindfolds, but they were not particularly impressed with the dish.
They described Coco and Pearl’s creation as ‘slop’ and awarded the team just 29 points, leaving the girls at the very bottom of the leaders table.

The final season of MKR got off to a fiery start last week when flirty friends Coco and Pearls were accused of having a stripper name in the first two episodes.
The pair, from New Zealand and the Czech Republic respectively, seemed unable to catch a break.
It started when the pair admitted Coco and Pearls weren’t their real names, and then Queensland contestant Claudean rudely asked if they were stripper names.
Fellow contestants were divided by the strange move, with some praising the unique idea and others labeling it inappropriate for a family show.
“She’s just out there. She’s just someone who wants to start something. And I said, ‘You’re someone to watch out for,'” Coco later told the producers.
Claudean later accused Coco and Pearls of flirting with her husband Anthony.
As the new crop of contestants chatted over dinner, the “Barbie twins” openly flirted with Anthony, saying he “looked like George Clooney.”
The comment ruffled Claudean’s feathers and she quickly snapped back, “Stop flirting with him!”
Luckily the jury was good sports and ate the dessert with the blindfolds – but they were not really impressed with the dish
