Colin Fassnidge has issued a strong statement after this season’s My Kitchen Rules winners were announced.

Identical twins Radha and Prabha emerged victorious on Tuesday night, taking home $100,000 in prize money.

But not all viewers are happy with the winners, with many taking to social media to hurl racist abuse at the pair.

In a video shared to his Instagram page, Fassnidge criticized the negative comments often posted under his own Instagram posts.

“Congratulations to this year’s winners of MKR, if you agree (or if) you disagree,” the celebrity chef began.

‘But you know what I don’t agree with? People sending racist negative comments about the winners to my page, to anyone.”

Fassnidge continued, “In this day and age, we will not accept this. And if your mind is that small, get over it, buddy.

‘It’s a cooking competition. We don’t save lives. Be nice to people. Keep your racial slurs out of a cooking competition.”

The video was reposted by winners Radha and Prabha, who added: ‘Thank you @cfassnidge for sharing this very important message.

‘Let food unite people and not divide them. Let’s celebrate Australia’s cultural diversity. @mykitchenrules is such a great platform to showcase and celebrate our cultural diversity. Take care of everyone and keep smiling. – Radha and Prabha xx.’

Radha and Prabha were crowned winners of MKR earlier this week.

The identical twins walked away with a score of 27, while Nick and Christian were close with 25.

‘I think I have goosebumps now. We are so grateful. We are going to fulfill one of our biggest dreams that we dreamed together,” Prahbha said.

Tensions ran high during the nerve-wracking episode in which the judges tasked the teams with preparing a four-course meal for 100 people.

But angry viewers claimed the final was ‘rigged’ and Radha and Prabha should not have won.

Outraged fans flooded Twitter with claims that best friends Nick and Christian should have won because they cooked a variety of dishes during the series.

“The show is totally rigged…(they have) no culinary skills, no idea about food others eat, and always play the victim card…#MKR,” one person wrote.

“Sh*t is rigged, can’t cook Indian curries and spicy food for a whole comp #MKR,” another agreed.

“The boys showed more skill and variety of dishes than the ‘winners’ and cooked more consistently and showed more refined eating skills and culinary technique,” wrote a third.

‘The girls threw chicken and rice into a pot, the boys showed versatility and skills with each dish. Yawn #MKR,” said another.

“Can’t believe the boys didn’t win tonight after adapting to all the criticism and cooking so many different types of food…I’m disappointed #MKR,” one person commented.

‘Boys have been robbed. Mkr has woken up,” someone wrote.

However, outraged fans have since flooded Twitter with claims that best friends Nick and Christian should have won because they cooked a variety of dishes during the series.
