My Kitchen Rules ‘cheating’ scandal: Colin Fassnidge’s controversial act during the finale sparks accusations that sisters Radha and Prabha were helped to win the cooking show

Identical twins Radha and Prabha walked away as winners in a nail-biting My Kitchen Rules final on Tuesday.

But some fans see the win as controversial because the sisters’ mother was present during the competition to give cooking tips from the observation gallery.

At one point, Radha and Prabha’s mother grew so big that judge Colin Fassnidge said he would give her a ‘yellow card’ – a term used by referees in football when penalizing a player for a foul.

Fassnidge is known for his ‘boyish’ style and was clearly joking when he made the comment to Radha and Prabha’s mother.

But that hasn’t stopped fans from criticizing the sisters online.

At one point, Radha and Prabha’s mother grew so big that judge Colin Fassnidge said he would give her a ‘yellow card’ – a term used by referees in football when penalizing a player for a foul.

“If mom was coaching, twins should have been disqualified,” one MKR viewer posted on the show’s official Facebook.

“She was definitely coaching the girls, which she shouldn’t be,” said another.

“Mommy shouldn’t have said anything… it’s a competition,” another added, while a fan called for the girls to be disqualified.

In a clip from the finale, Radha and Prabha’s mother can be seen shouting at the sisters and asking detailed questions about how to prepare a fish dish.

‘How many people are cooking here today?’ Colin asks at one point.

Clearly uncomfortable with the situation, Prabha told Colin, “Yes, we have Mom here today, which is nice.

Radha was less diplomatic, telling Colin that her mother was: “being very vocal at the moment.”

Meanwhile, the sisters’ mother joked that she wanted to come to the kitchen.

‘What is that, mom? Would you like to come down, mum?’ Colin said, smiling, before adding: ‘No that is not possible. I’ll give you a yellow card in a moment.’

The MKR final started with Colin announcing that the judges expected nothing less than a ‘perfect four-course meal’.

Fans have reacted strongly to the MKR controversy

Fans were not happy with the outcome and said the sisters had too much help

The two teams then got to work, with Radha and Prabha, 26, preparing a spicy fish dish with yellow dhal, while Nick, 36, and Christian, 34, made delicious bavette steaks with red wine gravy for their opening dish.

Tasting both teams’ dishes after a grueling cook, the judges admitted they were both delicious and said the two sides had worked so hard to create a great meal.

However, only one team could be crowned the winner and the judges shocked the audience by announcing that Radha and Prabha had led their competitors to a narrow victory.

The two teams seemed stunned by the announcement, as both sides admitted that their competitors had put in so much effort.
