“We are happier, more connected, more in love and more in tune with each other than ever before. We also have four beautiful children who are amazing people,” she wrote.

Tera currently works as a life coach, primarily teaching courses on building self-confidence and ’emotional literacy’.

Meanwhile, Preston and Megan Dahlgren are also still busy with therapy.

While preschool teacher Megan is a busy mom to the couple’s many children, Preston works part-time as a marriage and family therapist.

His specialties include relationship therapy and helping other people with same-sex feelings.

In addition to his job as a therapist, Preston works full-time as a nurse at the University of Utah.

The Mormon couple also made big moves in the real estate market, purchasing their fourth home together in 2019.

And last but not least, Jeff and Tanya Bennion, the central couple in the TLC special, are our guests.

Jeff now serves on the board of directors of a Mormon church called North Star, in addition to working part-time as a therapist.

Like Preston, Jeff specializes in same-sex attraction, both through North Star and through his therapy work.

North Star’s official website states that the church “helps individuals and families who are concerned about sexual orientation or gender identity to live the gospel of Jesus Christ more authentically, healthily, and joyfully.”

When the series aired, LGBTQ activists protested My Husband’s Not Gay, alleging that the show’s stars were actively trying to promote a discredited therapy program that claimed to turn gay men straight.

Groups such as GLAAD called the series “irresponsible” and “dangerous” because it portrayed sexuality as a choice that can be changed through conversion therapy programs.

TLC strongly denied that it endorsed conversion therapy programs.

At the time, Sarah Kate Ellis, president and CEO of GLAAD, described what was so dangerous about these therapy programs.

“Basically, gay reparative therapy is the idea that you can take the homosexuality out of someone, but we know that’s not true,” Ellis told Entertainment Tonight.

‘Medical experts have been denying this for years and it is also illegal in many states.’
