A woman and mother-of-one has been criticized for dressing up and taking herself on a 'solo date', with many labeling her behavior as 'suspicious'.
The woman took to Reddit to ask if she was wrong for letting her husband go out to dinner alone with their child once a month.
She explained that while her husband had no problem with her taking time for herself, he began to suspect she was having an affair because she would dress up for “dates” and be gone for hours.
The mother took to Reddit and posted in the Am I wrong? subreddit, asking if they thought her habit was strange or if her husband was just being unreasonable.

The mother of one took to Reddit to question whether she is wrong for leaving her husband with their child to go to fancy dinners alone
She started by explaining her eating ritual, adding that she's been taking a solo date “every month or so” for two years.
“I'll make a reservation or just go to a restaurant with nice clothes and makeup,” the mother of one explained.
“I just feel good when I'm well dressed.”
She continued to admit that sometimes she needed a break, and she enjoyed the time she was able to spend alone.
“So sometimes I just go out by myself, have a meal and just spend quality time [by myself],' she said.
The woman said she would usually enjoy a solo date on a day when she was working in the office.
“I've had this ritual for two years,” she explained. 'At first my husband wanted to come, but I refused.'
The woman told her husband that they could have date nights any other day of the week, but that she needed the one night to herself.
She added that she enjoyed eating alone because she didn't have to share her food with anyone and the restaurant was quiet.
“But my husband doesn't like it,” the confused woman wrote.
'He has no problem with me taking time off, but he says I wear nice clothes and wearing make-up isn't necessary.
'I told him not to worry. I just don't like going anywhere looking like a creep.”
People flooded the comments section slamming the mother of one for her 'weird' behavior
The mother-of-one noted that it wasn't just her solo dates that she dressed up for, explaining that she also got dolled up to go to the grocery store.
However, her husband no longer believed her story and was convinced that there was another man in the photo.
“Last week he got angry and asked if anyone else was there,” she admitted.
'[He thinks it’s] It's unreasonable for me to go to a restaurant alone for hours. But he doesn't believe me.
'I honestly don't do anything. I eat my food, stare into space, think about something random for a few minutes and go home.”
'Am I wrong?' she asked.
People flooded the comments section, criticizing the mother of one for her 'weird' behavior, with many agreeing with her husband and telling her it sounds suspicious.
“So no, it's not wrong for you to want time for yourself,” one Reddit user assured her. “The problem is it sounds like your husband is uncomfortable because honestly (original poster), even though you're not cheating, it seems that way.”
“If the tables were turned, people would be screaming about cheating,” one user commented.
“Honestly, if your husband had posted from his perspective, I think most people would be suspicious.
'Just start by saying that it's time for yourself, and that you need a little break every now and then. Maybe it's also because you do it in the evening?'
Others suggested her behavior may have been noticed by friends of her husband.
'I'm not sure. It doesn't seem like your husband is uncomfortable with what you're actually doing, but maybe someone told him something and it made him feel insecure about it,” someone else wrote.
Some Reddit users urged the woman to communicate with her partner.
“OP, you need to realize that even if you know what you're doing is fine, everything he sees is suspicious. Communicate with him instead of being offended by his words. This is not a fifth grade concept,” one commenter explained.
'I'm going against the grain here. Yes, you're wrong. This is a great cover to cheat in the future,” another stated.
The Reddit user continued: Going out dressed like you're looking for action. You are planting the seed of doubt in your partner's mind where there should be none.”
