A woman took to TikTok to discuss how a hairdresser baked her hair with bleach, which burned her skin, and still charged her £120 for the treatment.
Chelsy Ann, from Kent, shared a video about the social media platform — which racked up more than two million views — about how an unnamed hairdresser ruined her hair.
She went to a hairdresser other than her usual salon because it was unavailable, but soon regretted her decision.
Captioning the clip, Chelsy Ann wrote: ‘How the hairdressers completely destroyed my hair, burned my scalp, ears and neck and still charged me £120.
“Aggressively brushing bleach through my hair, my ears and (my) neck started to burn and they didn’t care.
Chelsy Ann, from Kent, made a video online – which has been viewed more than two million times – about how a hairdresser ruined her hair. In the photo: her hair after the treatment
Bleached three times gave me a stick to itch my scalp making it worse.
“My hair fell out when they washed it and it was still very red.
“I complained that my bangs didn’t look like the picture and that he was aggressively cutting more hair into them.
“It took me years to get my hair back to health so he could destroy it in a matter of hours.
“Not to mention my ears and neck were burned and the bleach burned through to my roots, leaving them exposed (the black dots).”
Photos show the hair Chelsy Ann wanted versus what she got, along with a step-by-step process of destroying her hair.
She also showed footage of her red ears, where the bleach had burned her skin.
When she says her locks started falling out, it still wasn’t even blonde, just a shade of ginger.
She went to another hairdresser because her usual hairdresser was not available, but she soon regretted her decision
Chelsy Ann revealed to her followers that her ears were burned from the bleach, along with her neck and scalp
In another video, Chelsy Ann responded to a comment stating that the black dots were normal.
She said, “I just wanted to respond to this comment because there is a lot of argument about the black dots on my scalp.
“I sent a picture to my hairdresser, my regular hairdresser the same day it happened and this was her response.
“So when I sent it to her, I said, ‘Should there be black dots all over my scalp?’
And she said, “Oh no way! God Chelsy, your condition just got better.
‘That’s where the follicles opened. That’s your carrot.”
The message exchange also shows Chelsy saying, “They don’t want to give me my money back either.”
In another video, Chelsy Ann revealed that her usual hairdresser said the black roots on her scalp were due to follicles opening
She continued by saying, ‘This lady has been doing my hair since I was nine years old so I trust what she says.
“If she says that’s no good, I agree because I don’t know anything about her.
“But I’ve also bleached my hair a few times before and it’s never happened.
“The bleach was all over my scalp, so even if there was just that tip of my hair that was darker than what you said, the black dots aren’t it.
“Because my whole head is bleached, there is no dark root.
“Those are the roots that should be visible under my scalp and that’s why if I pulled my hair it would just fall out because it’s not buried in the skin anymore.”
Shocked users took over the comments from the original video to voice their opinions.
One wrote: ‘Oh my god as a stylist this is soooo awful I’m so sorry this happened to you!!!!’
Shocked users took to TikTok to comment on their thoughts and solutions – some suggested they ‘sued’ them
Another said, ‘Oh God, that’s awful! They shouldn’t be hairdressers.’
A third wrote, “Omg bless you but that amount of bleach is insane they literally smeared your head.”
A fourth commented: ‘Good hairdressers know that going blonde is a continuous process and that you have to start with highlights so as not to damage the hair, sue them.’
