My friend sent me this photo of what she wants to wear to my wedding. I am FURIOUS

A bride-to-be was left ‘furious’ after her friend picked out an outfit for her upcoming wedding that was ‘too similar’ to her own.

The American woman had established a dress code ahead of her big day: female guests had to wear ‘cocktail attire’, such as dresses, elegant skirts or neat jumpsuits.

But when a friend sent her a photo of the look she wanted to wear, the shocked bride reacted negatively, saying it looked like her white dress.

The guest chose a black top over a soft, wide, gold skirt with a small black polka dot pattern. She thought it suited the style, but the bride disagreed.

“I told her it looked a lot like the color of my wedding dress,” the American said on Reddit. “She said, ‘Well, your dress isn’t polka-dotted, is it?’

“Am I the crazy Bridezilla here?” the woman asked online.

Hundreds of people responded enthusiastically to the original poster, unanimously agreeing that the two outfits were completely different.

“That doesn’t look like your dress at all. I thought the problem would be that her outfit would be too casual for your dress code if she paired it with that top,” someone said.

The woman, who was accused by many of being a 'bridezilla', had also sent her guests a dress code ahead of her wedding

Hundreds of people criticized the bride for being too “fussy” and said the two outfits were completely different

‘That skirt doesn’t look like a wedding dress to me at all. It looks yellow or light gold, but I don’t think anyone would mistake her for the bride,’ added another.

Many agreed that the woman was ‘nagging’ about her guests’ attire, especially since she had already stated a dress code.

“You, wear autumn colours. And you, no, not like that,” said one.

“I think you’re getting into bridezilla territory when you criticize her outfit. You were talking about elegant fall colors and she hit the nail on the head,” another agreed.

Others said the bride had her priorities wrong.

“Why don’t you focus on the love of your life and your marriage, instead of obsessing over your outfit announcement even more than it already does,” someone said.

People said they were tired of brides worrying about what their friends and family would wear to their wedding.

“Your guests are not dolls that you can dress up however you want, there is nothing bridal about this outfit at all, stop it,” someone said.

However, one man claimed that if the friend had sent the photo unsolicited, it was fine for the bride to give her honest opinion.
