A female diner says she immediately got the creeps when she heard a man on a double date ask an annoying question after dinner.
Model Lani Baker Randol was recently out with her husband at a restaurant where she observed two couples on a double date.
The eatery was underground and had no windows, so guests were surprised upon departure to find that pouring rain had completely cut them off from the parking lot.
One of the double-date men turned to his group and asked, “Okay, who's wearing the cheapest shoes?”
Lani was angry that the men didn't do the chivalrous thing and volunteer to deliver the cars instead of arguing whose shoes cost the most.

“I was privileged to watch two girls contract the disease right before my eyes,” Lani said in a video.
“My eyes were wide and my jaw dropped (when he asked about the shoes). That is unacceptable. The girls looked at each other and I could tell the dates weren't going well – and the shoe thing was just the icing on the cake.”
The model said the men continued to debate the issue for a while, trying to reach a logical conclusion.
“These kicks are brand new,” one of the men said. “When I walk out there, they're really toast, guys.”
The women could no longer tolerate the awkward situation and one offered to get the car – which seemed to embarrass one of the men into taking action.
'Are you sure? Are you sure you don't mind?' he asked. “Um, I'm just going to get it. It's whatever. I don't want to have to explain to you where it's parked, you'll never find it.'
Lani said, “You go get the car, that's how you treat a woman; you don't ask her if her shoes are cheaper than yours.'
Thousands were shocked by the 'embarrassing' behaviour.
“That's a valid ick,” someone said.
“I really hope those girls left them on the sidewalk after that,” one woman wrote.
“That is so unforgivable and wrong,” said a third.
“The same thing happened to me, but my husband ran back inside and covered his new shoes in plastic bags so he could get the car for me,” one person revealed.
While others criticized the women for having unreasonable expectations.
“Everyone failed, real couples run together in the rain,” one man wrote.
“I love how women want to be treated as equals unless it causes them discomfort. Then suddenly it turns into “chivalry is dead!” said another.
One advised: 'Gentlemen, wait for the woman who will tell you to 'race to the car' and join you in the rain.'
'Controversial opinion, but my partner and I are equals. I didn't expect him to get the car automatically. Honestly, we'd both get wet and leave,” one woman said.
